If you’re having trouble keeping track of all the names and faces in this particular story arc, here’s a handy guide.

Lucian

Lucian

A human man in his late twenties, Lucian is the charismatic leader of the “Open Invitation,” a cult-like gathering in a small village block at the docks. He and his group specifically attempt to communicate with departed souls, regularly inviting them into their own bodies in a mass ritual.

Marcellus

Marcellus

Often referred to as the “apothecary,” this human man garners a mixed range of emotions among the villagers. While he will craft cures for village illnesses (for a fee, of course), he also manages the village opium den. Though it often robs customers of their lives (metaphorically or literally), he justifies it as “selling escape” from a wretched existence.

Ivellios

Ivellios

Not all who practice superstition in the village block do so through Lucian’s cult. An elderly elf man, Ivellios spends his time researching alternate forms of mysticism and magics. He is regarded well by the other villagers, who generally view him as a kind and harmless old man.

Others:

Francis: A human male dock worker, Francis was found dead and hollowed-out in an outhouse with an empty vial. Mysteriously, all entrances were barred from the inside…

Shamus: A friend of Francis, Shamus works at the same fish warehouse as many of those in the village. He often spends his free time forgetting his troubles in Marcellus’s opium den.

Orrim: An older member of the cult, Orrim eventually becomes witness to the horrifying and grotesque deaths of two women in the same room as he.

Brek: A fisherman who works a boat out at see, this man prompts an irrational fear and loathing in the orc ghost.
